Grow.

Lakeside is committed to providing vast opportunities for you to grow closer to leading a Christ-centered life by creating connection points at virtually every life stage. So whether you grew up in a church or if this is your first attempt at even contemplating reading the Bible, it’s our intention to provide you with a thoughtful, enriching avenue to grow your faith.

Adult Discipleship

In addition to Sunday morning Bible Study classes, Lakeside provides several Grow Group opportunities for connections in smaller group settings with other adults to foster even deeper Christian influences and fellowship. We offer Grow Groups for individuals and couples. Some are for seniors and empty nesters. Some are for men while others cater to women. Regardless of which one, we hope you’ll find a Grow Group (or two!) to help nurture your journey along a life-long Christian discipleship pathway.

Children Discipleship

Lakeside offers very strong, committed programs for our young children and adolescents.

Following the Children’s Sermon time in Sunday worship, children from 3 to 5 years of age are welcome to attend our Littles Class while children in Kindergarten through the 3rd grade can join Children’s Church in the classrooms immediately behind the sanctuary. We also offer a BL45T Class for 4th and 5th graders in the Youth Room located off the southwest corner of the sanctuary. Nursery care is available for newborns during all Sunday services.

Summer is busy at Lakeside with week-long Vacation Bible School (VBS), Art, Science, and Theatre Camps!

Lakeside Little Learners Pre-School

In alignment with our mission, we also provide a part-time, 3-day a week pre-school to our community for potty-trained children between the ages of 2 and 4. The Lakeside Little Learners Pre-School provides spiritual development in a safe, nurturing, Christian environment through a stimulating early-education experience.

Lakeside Youth

We are extremely proud of our United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) discipleship for middle school and high school aged adolescents. They meet every Sunday evening throughout the school year for bible-based fellowship and fun. The middle school group meets at 6:00 pm and the high schoolers will join in at 7:30 pm after a shared meal that’s served at 7:00 pm.

Throughout the year, our Youth participate in several Serve | Eat | Play outings as well as the annual BreakThru retreat in the late-spring. Each summer, the Youth participate in Big House (for middle school) and UM A.R.M.Y. (for high school). The Youth Beach Retreat and a Spring Break Trip with a mission-based focused are also common calendar events each year.

We also offer an opportunity for Youth to formally profess themselves and reaffirm their lifelong Christian journey of faith through the rite of Confirmation Class.
