A key component to any healthy church is its ability to serve those in need – and each other. The Lakeside church family is supremely blessed in our capacity to help and lift others. Whether it’s via prayer support, meal preparations, church beautification work days, mission trips, donation drives, volunteering at various local food pantries, mentoring at elementary schools, or even just making a simple phone call to check-in on a friend and neighbor, Lakeside eagerly provides so much to our surrounding community. We are simply at our best when people are in need and we are committed to serving others throughout the year.

At Lakeside, we serve each other and our neighbors in various ways throughout the year.
  • Prayer Team to provide faith, comfort, love, and grace to all that need it
  • Hurricane Harvey Restoration Projects with our friends at Chapelwood UMC
  • Food and Supply Drives in partnership with Humble Area Assistance Ministries (H.A.A.M.)
  • Kids Hope USA to mentor local elementary students
  • College Care Ministry to help bridge the “spiritual gap” that can occur when students leave home
  • Meal Train Team will temporarily assist families in times of need
  • Church Work Days to spruce up the church building and grounds because a vibrant church gets dirty sometimes
The Lakeside Serve Team is led by Monti Keep. Please contact her if you are interested in learning more or if you desire to join them as they explore new service opportunities.
