Pastor's Desk
Dear Lakeside Family, Summer ministry is in full swing at Lakeside, and this is one of those weeks where you can really see the life of the church coming together. Tomorrow, we begin our new Galatians Bible Study at 11:45 AM, and I hope you will make plans to join us as we spend time with Paul’s letter and its powerful reminder that the gospel truly matters. Whether you have studied Galatians before or are opening it with fresh eyes, this will be a meaningful time to grow together in faith. Next week, we will welcome families for VBS: Snowball Mountain, and we are excited for the meals, lessons, laughter, and community that will fill our church. As we prepare, please remember to bring your VBS donations and HAAM donations with you to church tomorrow. These gifts will help us care for the children, families, and neighbors God is placing in our path. We also want to keep you updated on our facilities. We have already received quotes for a new motor and blade, as well as the air handler in the children’s room. We are now waiting on a quote for the sanctuary air handler, which is a very large unit. At the same time, we are exploring alternatives to replacing that unit completely. We will continue to keep you informed as we receive more information and work toward the best and most faithful path forward. And finally, mark your calendars for a churchwide Kickball Night on July 25. It will be a fun evening for all ages to come together, laugh, play, and enjoy being the church family. Thank you for the ways you continue to support Lakeside with your prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. I am grateful for all God is doing in and through this church. |

Family VBS 2026June 16th-18th | 5:30PM-8:00PM Family VBS Evenings at Snowball Mountain Life can feel like a climb sometimes—full of challenges, unknowns, and moments that stretch us. But what if this summer, your family discovered that you don’t have to climb alone? At Snowball Mountain, we’ll explore the promise of Philippians 4:13: Family VBS is designed for everyone—kids, youth, and adults—to grow in faith together in a way that’s meaningful, engaging, and fun. Each evening begins around the table with a shared meal at 5:30 PM—a chance to slow down, connect, and be reminded that we belong to a community. After the meal, we gather for a high-energy large group experience filled with music, storytelling, and a message that helps us see how God strengthens us for every step of the journey. Then we break out into age-based groups where children, youth, and adults can dive deeper, build friendships, and discover what it looks like to trust God in everyday life. We will end with worship and recap each night. Whether you’re navigating a busy season, facing something difficult, or simply looking for a place to grow, Snowball Mountain is a space where your family can find strength, encouragement, and hope—together. Come climb with us. God will meet you every step of the way. For more infomation visit:

Childrens Ministry Volunteers
Lakeside’s Children’s Ministry is a place where faith is planted, curiosity is welcomed, and children are reminded that they are deeply loved by God and by their church family. Each Sunday, we have the joy of walking alongside our youngest disciples as they learn Bible stories, ask big questions, and experience God’s love in age-appropriate and meaningful ways. We are seeking volunteers who are willing to share their time, care, and encouragement with our children. You don’t need to be a teacher or Bible expert—just someone with a willing heart and a desire to make a difference. Volunteers help in a variety of ways, including assisting on Sunday mornings, supporting special events, and creating a safe, welcoming environment for kids and families. Schedules are flexible, and training and support are provided. When you serve in Children’s Ministry, you’re doing more than filling a role—you’re helping shape faith, build confidence, and create a church where families feel at home. Even a small commitment can have a lasting impact. If you’d like to learn more or are interested in serving, we’d love to talk with you. Please fill out an interest form, reach out to the church office, or speak with a member of the Children’s Ministry team. Thank you for helping Lakeside be a place where children are known, loved, and encouraged to grow in faith. For more infomation visit:

Calling Creative Youth: Help Tell the Lakeside Story
Do you have a high school student who loves creating videos, designing graphics, taking photos, or coming up with fun social media ideas? Lakeside is inviting our youth to use their creativity and voice to help shape how we share the story of our church online. We are launching a Youth Social Media Content Creator Interest opportunity for high school students who want to help create content for Lakeside’s social media platforms. This is a chance for students to:
Youth will never be asked to manage accounts independently or post without adult guidance. This opportunity will be supervised and designed to be fun, collaborative, and age-appropriate. Parents and students are encouraged to scan the QR code and complete the interest form to let us know who might like to participate. Completing the form does not commit your student—it simply helps us gauge interest and plan next steps. We believe God has given our youth powerful voices and creative minds. This is one way they can help share faith, joy, and community beyond the walls of the church. For more infomation visit:
