Lakeside's Mission is to...

Lakeside's Mission is to...

Glorify God and make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by welcoming all neighbors home to grow in faith and serve Christ.

Angel Tree 2025

Angel Tree 2025

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Angel Tree ministry and to our entire Lakeside church family for your incredible generosity this holiday season.

Because of you, children and families experienced the love of Christ in tangible ways—through thoughtfully chosen gifts, needed items, and the many gift cards that were purchased to bless others beyond what we could see. Your compassion and willingness to give made a real difference.

Here is a small glimpse of the delivery of many of those gifts, each one a reminder that when the church comes together, hope is shared and lives are touched. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ and for making this season brighter for so many.

REMINDER!!

Christmas Eve 2025

Christmas Eve 2025

Candlelight Service - Wednesday, December 24, 2025

You’re invited to celebrate Christmas Eve with us at Lakeside United Methodist Church!

Join us for a  warm and welcoming candlelight service as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Together we’ll sing beloved carols, hear the Christmas story, and close by lighting candles and singing “Silent Night” in the glow of shared light and hope.

This family-friendly service is a beautiful way to slow down, breathe deeply, and remember what Christmas is all about. Come as you are, bring your friends and family, and make Christmas Eve at Lakeside a part of your tradition.

All are welcome—there’s a place for you here.

Advent Study

Advent Study

The Redemption of Scrooge - Sunday, December 21, 2025

Is redemption possible for Ebenezer Scrooge? Tomorrow is the final Sunday to join us for this four-week Advent study as we explore The Redemption of Scrooge by Matt Rawle.

Using Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, we journey with Scrooge and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future to discover what Jesus teaches us about second chances, generosity, and living for others.

This Sunday morning at 9:30 AM (Dec 21), we’ll conclude with “The Hope of Christmas Future.” Come rediscover and reinvigorate your faith this Advent as we view a beloved Christmas classic through the lens of Christ.

Confirmation 2026

Confirmation 2026

Do you have a sixth grader? Do you have a youth who has not taken confirmation yet? Do you want to know more about confirmation? Please fill out our confirmation interest form so we can gather information for our Spring 2026 Confirmation Class. Please fill out this form if you answer yes to any of these questions. It is very short, but we will contact you to gather and discuss.

Confirmation is designed for 6th-12th graders.  It is an amazing class that gives your teen or preteen a better understanding of the Bible and Methodism, while challenging them to own their faith. I highly encourage you to talk and pray about it as a family to decide if your teen or preteen will participate.  If they aren't ready to make this commitment or they aren't ready for any other reason, please pray and think through options for next year.  If you have questions feel free to contact me. It is a commitment from January to May on Sundays.  There are weeks off (when we have school breaks), but your teen is expected to attend all classes.  Confirmation will be on May 17th.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor David

Youth Volunteers Needed

Youth Volunteers Needed

Lakeside family, we invite you to be part of the important work God is doing in the lives of our young people. One of the ways we live out our mission is by welcoming home youth into a growing relationship with God—and you can help make that happen!

We are looking for adults who are willing to:
• Volunteer on Youth Sundays
• Donate snacks or special treats
• Lead or help support events

Your presence, encouragement, and care make a real difference. If you feel called to support our teens in any of these ways, please sign up using the QR code or contact us for more information.

Thank you for helping us nurture the faith of the next generation!
