Dear Lakeside Family,

As we look toward the close of 2025, I want to thank you for the ways you have faithfully supported the ministry of Lakeside. Your generosity has helped our church remain financially healthy this year—with an improved balance and a strong foundation for the future. But even more importantly, your giving has made a difference in the lives of people.

Because of your faithfulness:

• Families in our community experienced hope and joy last Christmas.

• Our youth grew in faith at camp and shared powerful moments at the beach retreat weekend.

• We celebrated Confirmation Sunday and witnessed the joy of new life through baptisms.

• And every week, lives continue to be touched through worship, study, and service.

As we begin our 2025 Stewardship Campaign, Forward in Faith, we invite you to prayerfully consider how you will continue to support the ministry God is doing through Lakeside in the year ahead.

Jesus said, “Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much.” (Luke 16:10–12). Each gift—large or small—is a sign of trust in God’s provision and a commitment to the mission we share: welcoming home all our neighbors to grow in faith and serve Jesus Christ.

You should receive your pledge card in the mail this week. Please take time to pray over it and bring it with you to Stewardship Sunday on November 9 as we dedicate our commitments together in worship.

We are inviting all of our elementary and middle school students. to join the Christmas Musical. Practice will be Sunday mornings at 9:30AM starting in September. Email our Church Office with questions or your desire to be apart of the Christmas Play.

All women are invited to join us each Sunday right after worship for a time of connection, encouragement, and spiritual growth. This group is a welcoming space for women from all walks of life to come together, share in community, and deepen their faith. We are currently studying Thrive by Jennifer Cowart, exploring what it means to live fully rooted in God’s Word and flourish in daily life. Whether you are new to Bible study or have years of experience, you’ll find friendship, conversation, and inspiration here.

In-Person Youth gather each week to have a ton of fun, learn about God and the importance of Christian community

Start your Thursday morning with fellowship, coffee, and meaningful conversation. Lakeside Men is a group for men of all ages to grow together in faith and friendship. Meeting at 6:00 AM each Thursday, the group is currently walking through A Man’s Guide to a Life Worth Living, which uses the book of Ephesians to explore how to build a life of purpose—rooted in Christ—rather than being driven by endless tasks. It’s a time to connect, encourage one another, and be challenged to live with intention.

This week we learn from Jeremiah about what it means to be a faithful community in a season such as this. A "season such as this" is all the times we feel we are in exile. Listen to the sermon to get more insight, but the big question in exile is: How will you live out your relationship with God? The Israelites wrestled with this question in Babylon. Would they sing the songs of faith or burry their heads in the sand. This short survey is to help Lakeside keep our eyes open towards the needs of our community and the author and perfecter of our faith.   

Lakeside Pumpkin Patch

Welcome—we’re so glad you’re here! At Lakeside, our mission is to welcome home all our neighbors to grow in faith and serve Jesus Christ, and our annual Pumpkin Patch is one way we live that out. It’s one of our favorite fall traditions, and we’re excited to share this season with you. Whether you’re choosing the perfect pumpkin or capturing memories with family and friends, there’s something here for everyone.

This patch is more than pumpkins—it’s about community, joy, and being together. Proceeds support Lakeside’s ministries and outreach, so every pumpkin you pick helps us extend Christ’s love and hope throughout our neighborhood.

Come visit us this fall—we’d love to see you in the patch!

Serving as an acolyte is a meaningful way for our children to take part in leading worship and to grow in their faith as part of the Lakeside family.
