Advent Study

Advent Study

The Redemption of Scrooge - Sunday, December 7, 2025

Is redemption possible for Ebenezer Scrooge? Join us for a four-week Advent study on Sunday mornings at 9:30AM (Nov 30, Dec 7, Dec 14, Dec 21) as we explore The Redemption of Scrooge by Matt Rawle. Using Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, we’ll journey with Scrooge and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future to discover what Jesus teaches us about second chances, generosity, and living for others. Chapters include “Bah! Humbug!” “The Remembrance of Christmas Past,” “The Life of Christmas Present,” and “The Hope of Christmas Future.” Come rediscover and reinvigorate your faith this Advent as we look at a familiar classic through the lens of Christ.

You've Got the Music In You

You've Got the Music In You

This Advent at Lakeside, we’re exploring some of the most beloved hymns of the season and what they teach us about following Jesus in our everyday lives.

Each Sunday we’ll focus on one hymn, listen for its message of hope, peace, joy, and love, and ask how its words can become our prayer today.

Confirmation 2026

Confirmation 2026

Do you have a sixth grader? Do you have a youth who has not taken confirmation yet? Do you want to know more about confirmation? Please fill out our confirmation interest form so we can gather information for our Spring 2026 Confirmation Class. Please fill out this form if you answer yes to any of these questions. It is very short, but we will contact you to gather and discuss.

Confirmation is designed for 6th-12th graders.  It is an amazing class that gives your teen or preteen a better understanding of the Bible and Methodism, while challenging them to own their faith. I highly encourage you to talk and pray about it as a family to decide if your teen or preteen will participate.  If they aren't ready to make this commitment or they aren't ready for any other reason, please pray and think through options for next year.  If you have questions feel free to contact me. It is a commitment from January to May on Sundays.  There are weeks off (when we have school breaks), but your teen is expected to attend all classes.  Confirmation will be on May 24th.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor David
